We left Monday morning and took the scenic route through the mountains. (Kai got motion sickness!) We ate lunch at a campground where Brent's parents took him camping as a kid. It was so cold - and the kids were thrilled to find snow to make snowballs! Then we headed off to Evanston and then the Flaming Gorge damn, but missed the last tour by 30 minutes. It was 5 o'clock and so hot I asked Brent to let us soak in the reservoir while he put up camp. An hour later we came back to a nice stew dinner and much cooler weather. We made the fire, sang songs, roasted marshmellows and crashed at 10. We all slept great! Amazing! After a nice breakfast, we cleaned up camp and drove down to the Green River where Brent rented a boat and we floated downstream for 2 fun-filled hours. His parents had a blast, and Kasey looked like she had fun too! I was impressed. Hey, we should do this again sometime!

I think I liked your campground better than ours. What was the name of the place where you stayed? And where did Brent rent a boat? We'll have to do that with the kids next time.
Hey winner! Did you know that the Flaming Gorge dam is 40 minutes from Rock Springs....Not to mention Green River Wyoming is 10 minutes from Rock Springs! Seriously!
It looks like you guys had a great time. We need to get up there this summer before it gets too cold.
Wow, those look like some happy kids! Even the big kid looks happy.
