Keala!

Keala went to the party store with me today to pick up 'tickets' for the Cub Scouts to use but we found a world of Halloween costumes only an enthusiast could love!

Keala suckered me into trying on a hat... and then I got suckered even more into scanning every possible costume to find the perfect one for an 8 year old girl. Unfortunately the prices didn't agree with mom, especially since we already spent over $10 buying her a costume a week ago. Hello! (She still hasn't come to a concrete decision about what she wants to be yet - her inspiration changes daily!)

So as I am looking through my photos on my phone I find this self-portrait of Keala that had me freaked out for a second! I couldn't believe she would take a shot like this! But then the mystery solved itself as I kept looking through all the photos...

Upon closer examination I discover she's not sucking on "you know what", instead we discover we're looking at the end of the stick of a lollipop.

Apparently she took a shot of that too! Thank goodness I have evidence! Beads of sweat have subsided!

Vegas Baby!

Funny story... If you will look around at the scenery behind us, you'll find we are in a theater, we are waiting to see the Michael Jackson, Circe du Soleil show. Notice off in the corner the 'headliners'. I discovered that the audience was being photographed and their pictures were the ones used in these silly 'headlines'. So....as soon as I spotted a photographer, I flagged her down and in 'bated anticipation' waited to see our picture pop up in the headlines. Fortunately, we WERE put up in the headlines, but my face was strategically cropped out and I watched as just my husbands face rotated through the queue and popped in and out of each of the headlines, never saw my mug as I had hoped. We laughed and laughed and laughed... why is it always funny when its at MY expense!

Disneyland!

I have tried to get these photos in chronological order but they don't seem to be participating in my strategy very well. So I am just going to throw all the pictures on here at once and you can enjoy them at your leisure. Either way,
we had a really great day!

California Cruisin'

On our way down into California at the end of July, we stopped by a party Makiko had for her 1yr old, Koji in Rancho Cucamonga. Fortunately quite a few of my high school friends were in attendance.

Kai, Keala, and Marina had a nice break from driving in the car and got to swim and snack. Makiko's party was catered by a 'taco truck' that made excellence grilled tacos, accomplanied with Jenn's famous chocolate chip cookies!

Wendy Woolf has stayed friends with us girls through out the years, here are her three kids. This was the first time any of us were able to meet each others children. It was a neat event!

This is Nicci's 6 yr old son, and I think his name is Logan?! (oops, I forgot.)

Makiko's husband is black, so her son has a cute mix in his face, he's adorable!

I forgot to get a photo of Jen's one year old daughter before dad drove her home. Jenn's daughter was born about 3 weeks before Makiko's son. Koko is hiding off in the corner with Jenn, but I am under strict instructions to kiss Lauren the next time I see her... on behalf of Koko!
