Say hello to the new Cub Scout leaders of Pack 4275!
Is it safe to say we are new to this!
(Names are withheld to preserve the identity of the innocent... bwah ha ha ha!)
We also have new den leaders, this is our new Wolf Den Assistant, Les Burnham! I love this guy!
(No thats not a ferret, its G'Pa Bill's Prize Mink... ask him the story sometime!)
So for our Pack meeting last Tuesday we celebrated one of our older Scouts, graduating and receiving his highest Cub Scout honor, the Arrow of Light. We put on this skit for him!
I later found this wolf mask I made up in the office at school. One of the boys brought it in since the school mascot at the Elementary is Wolves! That was a cute idea!
Each of the animals reported to the wise Indian Chief what their most important duty was. But the Indian boy reported that it wasn't to be the strongest or scariest, or loudest or bravest, but to take care of others.
So we presented the Indian Boy with an arrow, the symbol of most power. The other animals received necklaces, representing their greatest strengths. All the boys kept their masks and necklaces. (It was so cute to see them be excited to be a part of this skit - and even to like the props!)
Yes, I am partially insane to go to this much work, but its worth it when you see how much fun they have! (Don't tease me about my uniform... my kids already do!)

Look at you! Impressive! It is awesome to see a cub program so intricately planned! That is why they don't put me in a calling like that!
Very Cool Nikki, very cool. I'm impressed; very impressed.
