Disney World!

No, this picture was not taken at Disney World. Every time I wanted to take out my camera, I thought of the immense amount of explaining I would have to do to calm my kids down after viewing our vacation pictures. It would devastate them to find out that mom went to "Disneyland" without them! I just couldn't bring myself to do it! So, I hate to say we didnt take the camera out even once. Although we dragged it around with us on our backback every single day. (It was raining one day so that was my rationale for that day.) But, nevertheless, we had a very fun, adventuresome, 'suprising and new', romantic, freezing, spontaneous, expensive, and exhausting, be-lated honeymoon/vacation together. We ate lots of yummy food, and snacks, and expensive food, and more food after that. (Most of the money went to the food...go figure!) I thought after walking 5 miles a day that I would come back thinner. Nope. Not the case. I did take the pedometer you would be happy to know, and we trecked 14K steps the first day, 11K the next, and 7K the last. (Notice how the numbers go down significantly with each passing day...that would be because of the rain too!) ha! Anyhow, being a 'Disneyland' "expert" I found myself very judgemental of the Florida Magical Kingdom until I got into Epcot Center, then the Holleywood Connection, and finally, The Animal Kingdom, where I was happily impressed with all the parks. We had A LOT of fun! And wouldn't you know the ice cream bars and frozen chocolate bananas tasted the same in every park! (Lol) Sorry I have no pictures. I will live to regret it one day. (Maybe) I'm just glad my monkeys haven't caught on or there would be mahem my friends! If you would like to know more details feel free to give me a call (or bring it up at some future family engagement. Until then...when are we planning the Disney Cruise!?...

Christmas Eve at G'ma Bobbi's House

Christmas Morning Pictures

Dad asked that I post some pictures from Christmas. Heres a couple. After we had the kids open their family presents under the tree, G'ma Joan and G'pa Bill came over and we opened gifts from them and shared breakfast while we talked to Ryan on the phone. Afterwards, Kai and Keala went to aunt Mindy's house with their dad and got a bunch of other gifts. Wow, they raked 'em in! Christmas morning was a lot of fun, especially with 'Santa Cindy' visiting us this year!

Happy New Year!

Don't everybody eat, drink, and be merry too much! Or you'll all be sick like half of us were last night! Brent, the kids, and I played games with Joan, Bill, and Leslie and had too much of a munchie spread and now we're really 'ringing' in the new year! But we had fun doing it! Bill was in last place the whole game but sure caught up quickly towards the end and added a good part of the laughs for the most part! Keep up the good work Bill! The kids played video games all night and just had a blast. As a matter of fact, there were quite a few tears and tantrums when we had to leave! (whats new!) But as we walked up to the house Kasey had a rockin party were somehow she got a dozen of her friends to all fit in the hot tub. It was 'audibly' clear they were all having a ton of fun. And Austin was out with friends for the night but got up early enought to go rabbit hunting this morning, although he had a few Advil accompany him on his way out the door. Brent and I watched Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest count down the new year, and for the first time ever, I kissed the love of my life and wished him a Happy New Year! (Everyone join in: Ahhhhh!) (Audience participation now done.) In conclusion: It was a great year in 2008, and for 2009: we wish everyone a prosperous and Happy New Year!

Whats in YOUR treadmill?!

So, since all my sisters seem to be on some type of exercise rejume, I thought I would jump on the bandwagon. I started 2 weeks ago on the treadmill and hit it only twice then, (none last week). But I'm onto 3 visits to the treadmill this week! (Yeah for me!) Mom came over the weekend of Thanksgiving to share a yummy turkey dinner with us on Sunday (I needed more turkey!) and we talked about how I get on the treadmill every once in a while. And Brent said "Yeah, she gets on for 10 minutes and then shes had enough!" And I said "Yeah, well I have to do my dusting weekly and so I get on it and dust it clean, and then get off!" But this week I have been more commited to my workout so I got on it the other day and noticed something was stuck to one of the rollers and making the running plane bounce on this little bump. So, since all the children's toys sit on or near the treadmill I figured someone had sat on it while playing with toys and must have eated candy or something and somehow it got stuck to the rolling wheel. So I call Brent over and we lift it to get a better angle to look inside only he can't quite see it, so I take a turn and peer into it and yep, it roadkill! This fall Brent tells me that he gets only a few mice in his house and thats all. He reassures me its ONLY a couple. So this fall, over a dozen mouse traps later... we still find big ones, fat ones, small ones, skinny ones, and no they don't eat worms! So anyways, back to the treadmill... we both are grossed out and get past the 'quiver' stage and I look in the kitchen for something long enough to reach in there and scrape it off the roller (I won't tell you what I used or you'll never come over to our house to eat dinner again.) So I scrape it off, but since we are holding it at an angle, the flattened furball starts to roll to the other end. At which point I'm shreeking with cooties and we both quiver again and then I scoup it out and throw it away. (and yes, the kitchen tool has been sufficently cleaned, disinfected, sterilized, whatever word you need to reassure you we can use it in the kitchen again!) At the end of the day Brent admits to me that the 'mouse episode' was kinda gross, to which I raise my voice and say "Kinda like, yeah! I been shivering all day!" Well, heres to the winter season and the hopes that THAT one was the LAST one!..."Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse..." ...should we be so lucky!

I'M BAAA-AACK

I had a temporary mental block on how the hell to get these postings down. Sorry you all thought I was inactive! Actually I am very much a 'believer' in the blog world. I was just trying to figure out the computers in my new home so that I could get pictures posted on the blog. Its still a learning process. (Hint: I'm a slow learner, and computer retarded.) But I will try my best to get photos downloaded so I can show the 'highlights' of the Jenson family daiy/weekly/monthly activities. I promise to not make this a 'one a year' thing. Brent is even getting on my back for not staying updated. So for the Jenson family update: Brent had knee surgery last Wednesday and I was really worried I was gonna have 3 little kiddies to take care of during Thanksgiving weekend instead of two. But he perservered well and saw his doctor tuesday and physical therapist today and is coming along great with his healing. I am relieved quite a bit. (Hes a tough kid!) Today Kai and Keala had their first dentist appointment. I was stressed out a little. But the dental assistant did such a great job with them that they came out with flying colors (and mouths full of cavities!) Irregardless, they were great and I was incredibly proud of them. (Now to go back for all the cavities!) The kids are doing great in school and I am starting to feel my nitch here in our new home. Brent and I like to count our "monthly" anniversaries. Such the newleyweds! But having a great time! See you all soon for the holidays!

We Love Chocolate!

Yes, Its true...we ALL love chocolate. Every day Keala and I eat some and Keala always says after the first bite "I looove chacalate!" Its so cute. I have resorted to hiding my candy from my husband. But he has found me out. So I have stashed a bunch in different places around the house. Only I left some on top of the fridge so he thinks I have 'fessed up'. But on occasion I spy Kasey taking a few and I think 'she must love "chacalate" too'!
