Our Thursday Afternoon

Mom and Dad will remember my good friend Dina from back at Cypress College where we met (through mom) and at the Institute. Well, we reunited again after losing touch for more than 10 years from Facebook. (Brent calls it 'Buddy Book' from a spoof that the sitcom "My Name is Earl" did, making fun of Facebook.) Dina and I ate lunch at Kneaders and caught up as much as we could in that amount of time. It was so fun to see her again and be able to hear about each others lives. I think she thought I was nuts for bringing my camera, but its true, I am!

I walked into Vinessa's house to pick up my kids after lunch and this is how I found Keala. I had to take a picture because it caught me off guard and made me laugh so hard. She thinks she's so funny! She laughed her head off that I wanted to take her picture.

She kept saying 'take another one, take another one'. Then all the kids wanted their pictures taken. Vinessa has borrowed some of my piping tips to make the Sesame Street characters that I made a couple weeks ago. So she was just trying to finish up the extra frosting she had and all the kids were HAPPY to help her do that!

The boys made Cookie Monster and Oscar the Grouch. I can only guess that Keala was eating Elmo! Her mouth is so red - its just hilarious! You can see they were playing with the toothpicks, which looks a little wierd (and makes me nervous). But it looks like my kids had a lot of fun while I was gone.

I never thought Keala would get all that red off, but she did! Her hair looks crazy! I tried to give her a mohawk that morning but she smashed it down and now it just looks wierd. Oh well!

So, we came home and made Valentines cupcakes and decorated them with basket weaving pink buttercream frosting, and mint chocolate hearts. I cannot believe how many Austin ate yesterday! And I have to make him more today because its his birthday! Did I mention we LOVE to eat cake around here? (And decorating them too!)
