New Cub Scout Leader!

Say hello to the new Cub Scout leaders of Pack 4275!
Is it safe to say we are new to this!
(Names are withheld to preserve the identity of the innocent... bwah ha ha ha!)

We also have new den leaders, this is our new Wolf Den Assistant, Les Burnham! I love this guy!
(No thats not a ferret, its G'Pa Bill's Prize Mink... ask him the story sometime!)

So for our Pack meeting last Tuesday we celebrated one of our older Scouts, graduating and receiving his highest Cub Scout honor, the Arrow of Light. We put on this skit for him!

I later found this wolf mask I made up in the office at school. One of the boys brought it in since the school mascot at the Elementary is Wolves! That was a cute idea!

Each of the animals reported to the wise Indian Chief what their most important duty was. But the Indian boy reported that it wasn't to be the strongest or scariest, or loudest or bravest, but to take care of others.

So we presented the Indian Boy with an arrow, the symbol of most power.  The other animals received necklaces, representing their greatest strengths. All the boys kept their masks and necklaces. (It was so cute to see them be excited to be a part of this skit - and even to like the props!)

Yes, I am partially insane to go to this much work, but its worth it when you see how much fun they have! (Don't tease me about my uniform... my kids already do!)

Happy 6th Birthday Keala!

Last night we celebrated Keala's birthday because mom has a big Cub Scouts Pack Program to put on tonight!

Keala was still so excited all day! She even blew out her candles before we finished singing!

We ran a bunch of errands yesterday and she told EVERY check-out clerk that it was her birthday!

Presents are good! She gets more tonight with her dad (since moms busy)!

G'ma Joan out-did herself!  Keala loved it!

Spring dress from mom. (One more on Easter Sunday!)

Madam Alexander Doll! A big hit!  If I remember anything about my 6th Birthday.... the dolls were the trick!

Keala loves loves LOVES to play Old Maid! Even better when she wins!

Fashion show of Gma Joan's dress!

Ahh! What a great day! (Oh... it goes on all week!)

Prom Night!

Last Saturday was Prom night at the Capital! (I like this girl!!)
Don't they make a cute couple!

Pretty colors! And they match! Even better!

Around here the school dances go all day, starting with breakfast, an afternoon activity, dinner and the dance. What a day!

Rain Rain Go Away!

I bought these kites for my kids from Sam's Club about a week ago and they have begged me every day since to go fly them.  Well.... there was no wind! Until Saturday when the beginning of these rain storms started to blow in!

So I took them out and realized early on that it was TOO windy! The kites just didn't fly right and kept getting shoved down to the ground. But we persisted! (Cuz it was still fun - duh!)

After an hour we just couldn't get the kites in the air anymore, it was too windy, and too frustrating. But still fun nevertheless! And one day we will go back my friend! One day!

As a sidenote: This is Keala's new favorite movie! (It was cute!)

BYU Mountain West Conference Weekend in Vegas!

Brent, his kids, myself, and 2 of Brent's closest friends, Brian and Greg (and their families) all joined us last weekend in Vegas for the BYU Basketball Conference.  We all leased a large home together... which had this awesome pool in the backyard!

The boys found many 'original' ways to jump off the slides! (At the very, very top is Greg and Dana's son, Taylor... such a cutie!) I didn't get many pictures of their family- sorry guys!

The kids all throw a different ball at each other while jumping at the same time... trickeeeey!

Here's Brent's friend Brian, and his son Nathan.  It took about 2 days for the pool to heat up so we stayed out of it the first day... except for the teenagers.  Although we did venture into the hot tub!

Yes, this is a hammock! My husband was kind enough to share it with me... if I shared my Doritos!

Brent's kids took shots from the pool.  I kept hearing Kasey yell "Yes! I nailed it!"
(She meant getting the shot!) It made me laugh so hard!

And another one... "nailed it!"

This time it was her turn... "nailed it!"

And again... nailed it! This is Austin's friend Tyler, who joined us for the weekend.

On Thursday night Brent BBQ'ed some awesome hamburgars out on the grill.
But FRIDAY night.. whoaah! We ate at HOTEL 'M' at the most delicious Buffet, 'Studio B'!
It was AMAZING!
(I ate some in honor of you Meeja! mmmm yum!)

Everyone was reluctant to give me a good shot! Are we camera shy people !?
This is Brian's wife, Jerrine with her daughter Heather and son Nathan in the background.

Here is Heather's husband, Pat, and her twin sister Page.  Awesome people! We had so much fun!

We made it to different Basketball games every day, while still having lots of fun pool time, rest, and all the relaxation that you could ever want!
(Yes! My 2 kiddie-poo's spent the weekend with their dad!) See how much fun I had!
Saturday night we ate at the Memphis Championship Barbecue... super delicious!  Yes, I ate more than my fair share, ok, not in honor of anyone... it was all for me! But oh so YUM! (Diet starts NOW!)
(Sorry again for not having enough photos of Greg and Dana, and their daughter, Mickel... email me!)

We came home Sunday.  The end.
P.S. I miss our way SUPER FUN weekend!
