Disney World!

No, this picture was not taken at Disney World. Every time I wanted to take out my camera, I thought of the immense amount of explaining I would have to do to calm my kids down after viewing our vacation pictures. It would devastate them to find out that mom went to "Disneyland" without them! I just couldn't bring myself to do it! So, I hate to say we didnt take the camera out even once. Although we dragged it around with us on our backback every single day. (It was raining one day so that was my rationale for that day.) But, nevertheless, we had a very fun, adventuresome, 'suprising and new', romantic, freezing, spontaneous, expensive, and exhausting, be-lated honeymoon/vacation together. We ate lots of yummy food, and snacks, and expensive food, and more food after that. (Most of the money went to the food...go figure!) I thought after walking 5 miles a day that I would come back thinner. Nope. Not the case. I did take the pedometer you would be happy to know, and we trecked 14K steps the first day, 11K the next, and 7K the last. (Notice how the numbers go down significantly with each passing day...that would be because of the rain too!) ha! Anyhow, being a 'Disneyland' "expert" I found myself very judgemental of the Florida Magical Kingdom until I got into Epcot Center, then the Holleywood Connection, and finally, The Animal Kingdom, where I was happily impressed with all the parks. We had A LOT of fun! And wouldn't you know the ice cream bars and frozen chocolate bananas tasted the same in every park! (Lol) Sorry I have no pictures. I will live to regret it one day. (Maybe) I'm just glad my monkeys haven't caught on or there would be mahem my friends! If you would like to know more details feel free to give me a call (or bring it up at some future family engagement. Until then...when are we planning the Disney Cruise!?...

Christmas Eve at G'ma Bobbi's House

Christmas Morning Pictures

Dad asked that I post some pictures from Christmas. Heres a couple. After we had the kids open their family presents under the tree, G'ma Joan and G'pa Bill came over and we opened gifts from them and shared breakfast while we talked to Ryan on the phone. Afterwards, Kai and Keala went to aunt Mindy's house with their dad and got a bunch of other gifts. Wow, they raked 'em in! Christmas morning was a lot of fun, especially with 'Santa Cindy' visiting us this year!

Happy New Year!

Don't everybody eat, drink, and be merry too much! Or you'll all be sick like half of us were last night! Brent, the kids, and I played games with Joan, Bill, and Leslie and had too much of a munchie spread and now we're really 'ringing' in the new year! But we had fun doing it! Bill was in last place the whole game but sure caught up quickly towards the end and added a good part of the laughs for the most part! Keep up the good work Bill! The kids played video games all night and just had a blast. As a matter of fact, there were quite a few tears and tantrums when we had to leave! (whats new!) But as we walked up to the house Kasey had a rockin party were somehow she got a dozen of her friends to all fit in the hot tub. It was 'audibly' clear they were all having a ton of fun. And Austin was out with friends for the night but got up early enought to go rabbit hunting this morning, although he had a few Advil accompany him on his way out the door. Brent and I watched Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest count down the new year, and for the first time ever, I kissed the love of my life and wished him a Happy New Year! (Everyone join in: Ahhhhh!) (Audience participation now done.) In conclusion: It was a great year in 2008, and for 2009: we wish everyone a prosperous and Happy New Year!
