My only Easter Photos

I think I got preoccupied with family in town this past weekend. I don't have any other pictures of Easter than these eggs the kids decorated with their dad .  I will try to get some shots of their Easter clothes soon!

Nevermind. Lets use this photo from Rachel's wedding as our Easter shot and call it good.
I wish I had pictures of their baskets... They were so cute!  Ahhh!

Rachel & Hans' Wedding

About 2 weeks ago, Rachel called G'ma Joan and said she wanted to come up Easter weekend and have Brent marry her and her boyfriend, Hans.  We were a little suprised at the short notice, but we got the ball rolling and had a wedding at G'ma's house last Saturday afternoon.

Rachel and her family came into town last Tuesday night. Marina and I spend most of Wednesday making tons of different kinds of cupcakes. No, not for the wedding... just for fun!

Thursday the kids ran around and played with neighbors all day, but Friday afternnon I took Tristan and Marina to the Rio movie... we laughed our heads off! The kids were so cute!

Kai and Keala had Easter break from school Thursday and Friday where they went to their dad's house. But he brought them back Saturday morning to get ready for the wedding.

Brent did a sweet and simple ceremony. He had G'pa Bill and G'ma Ann share their wisdom and then added a few words and performed the marriage and signed the paperwork! Its official now!

Kasey caught the bouqet... hopeful bride to be!  (Look at Keala's face, she was so jealous!)

The family teased her by asking if she's got her own wedding invitations made yet. (Her missionary still has a little over a year yet.... but we're just as excited as she is!)

Rachel only had her family there, she didn't invite any friends, she just wanted it sweet and simple.

Hans was so handsome in his military uniform. Everyone complemented him but when Keala came in the room and said "OOHH! Handsome!" - we all laughed!  It was the cutest thing!

Yes, we even had a cake. But we went out to eat first and then came back and had some.

Handsome group!

Cheesy group!

"Awwwh!"  (Keala wanted to hold flowers so bad that we had to invent a bouquet for her!)

Cute!

Awwh!

More "Awwhhh!"

Poor Poor Puppy

Some days when I am cleaning house, or working on the computer, I hear the faint sound of a little girl singing, singing, singing.  Its a daily occurance.  She is a happy child.

I glanced in her room to spy all the singing when I caught this glimpse of her jumping, jumping, jumping on the bed. And who was in the middle of all of it? The dog.

Maggie is such a good sport. Some days, I would say, she is a better sport than me.

So Keala just jumped and sang, and the dog just sat and sat, all the while long.

Once Keala paid attention to me, she put on a real show, and did a 'high jump'.  And Maggie just sat.

This is from a day I let Keala borrow the camera again.

And again, Maggie is a good sport.

This is Maggie's chair. She spends most the day looking out the front window in this chair.

Could it be possible that Keala is interrupting a perfectly good doggie nap?

I can hear Maggie thinking "where's mom"?

"Is there a mom in this house?"

"Mom, where are you! Come save me!"
Good, good dog.

I looked out the Window and what did I see...

While cleaning Kai's room this morning, I looked out the window and saw these Tulips and thought "Is this a scene out of the Steve Martin movie, 'Father of the Bride'?!"  How are tulips expected to grow in snow! Its an injustice is what I'm thinking!  Whats worse... when will it end!

Poor little Tulips!
And now for pictures out Brent's tour bus window:

I love how theres a flash in every picture! He was in Washington D.C. this week for a business meeting.
Finally here are some pictures OUTSIDE of the tour bus window:

I love this last photo!

My Charmed Life...

Doesn't this look like the face of an angel? I know I lead a very blessed life, but my daughter proves to me time and time again, I am like any other mother!  WHAT does she have on her eyes this morning! I don't even know!  But yesterday she came home from school and put blue finger paint all over her hands, her arms, all the way up to her shoulders, not elbows... her sholders!  Then her brother decided to tell her where to touch her hands all over the house, so there were blue hand prints all over the place!

I was so infuriated when I saw what they were doing, I immediately picked her up and threw her (clothes and all) into a cold bath of water (that I forgot to drain earlier that day) and gave her brother a wet rag and let him clean up every single blue hand print that decorated not only her room, walls, bed, and table, but his room as well. (Including the family room where the blue interior decorating started!) In my fit of fury, still trying to see the humor in the situation, I thought of grabbing the camera to take pictures. But I didn't have the camera, so I permitted myself to just be angry and forget the positive! (Now I wish I had my camera!)

Keala's Wall of Fame

I let Keala's artwork collect on the wall for a few months, and then take it all down.

This is my way of  'preserving the memories' and then 'cleaning house'.

Don't ask me about her posing skills!

It is cute to see her talent develop over time.  The dog kept sniffing this "Number Chart" that they used cereal on to help them count to 100!  It was funny to see Maggie climb up the wall.

Here is her Leprechan trap. It actually works too!

Friday Keala helped out at Kai's class in the morning. Nikki Thacker and I helped the kids make a craft to take their teacher whose been sick.

It was also April Fool's Day!  Ethan fooled us all!  (Especially his Gran'ma!)
